WIKA has developed a revolutionary overload indicator located on the dial face for easy viewing showing when the gauge has been pressurized past a user defined predetermined value. The overload indicator normally rests in a green band, showing normal operation. When the pressure rises above 10% of the set pressure, the indicator drops into a red band showing the pressure has exceeded the predetermined set point and needs to be inspected. A unique feature of the over-pressure indicator is that it can be set anywhere on the dial. The overpressure set point will be shown with a bold red marker on the dial face to indicate the desired set pressure.
The overload indicator does not prevent operation of the gauge, even when activated. For safety reasons the overload indicator cannot be reset in the field. When the indicator drops into the red band, it locks in place. The bayonet ring is also spot welded to the case to prevent tampering with the overload indicator.
