Roxtec in the Yanshan Petrochemical expansion project in China

posted Aug 1, 2012, 11:03 PM by RCLL Admin   [ updated Aug 1, 2012, 11:05 PM ]

In the Yanshan Petrochemical 30,000 tons per year expansion project, the designer changed the previously used underground sleeve sealing in the central control room to flexible Roxtec sealing solutions.
Compared to traditional sealing methods, Roxtec looks neat and beautiful. Roxtec solutions also save cables length and simplify future inspection and maintenance. The gastight, explosion- and fire-proof seals prevent fire and toxic gases from entering the room and protect staff and indoor equipment.
SEI engineers, responsible for the project design, appreciate Roxtec:
"It is easy to use to standardize design and increase safety performance."

Oxygen Analyzer for Built-in Packing Machine LF-200

posted Mar 10, 2010, 7:05 PM by RCLL Admin   [ updated Aug 24, 2011, 7:03 PM ]

The LF-200 zirconia oxygen analyzer was developed for automatic gas filling packaging equipment based on Toray Engineering's long track record with oxygen analyzers for the food packaging industry.
This analyzer is equipped with our unique, compact zirconia sensor to enable stable and highly accurate measurement over the long term, and an oxygen sensor protection mechanism for unprecedented durability. This is an easy to operate, compact oxygen analyzer which is ideal for integration into automatic packaging equipment for foods, pharmaceuticals and other products.

Features

  • Protection against oils
The system is equipped with a new type of filter to improve measurement of gases with dispersed oils. The filter can be replaced without removing the analyzer from the panel.
  • Suction pump protection function
Enables pump protection while avoiding problems due to on-site cleaning caused by blowing air.
  • High-speed response
Internal pipe flow which minimizes gas stagnation at points of measurement.
  • Power supply
AC200V is provided standard, for ease of integration into packaging equipment (AC100V is optional).

WIKA: Introduces the Mechanical Pressure Gauge with Overload Indicator Option

posted Mar 10, 2010, 7:04 PM by RCLL Admin   [ updated Jul 13, 2011, 2:52 AM ]

WIKA has developed a revolutionary overload indicator located on the dial face for easy viewing showing when the gauge has been pressurized past a user defined predetermined value. The overload indicator normally rests in a green band, showing normal operation. When the pressure rises above 10% of the set pressure, the indicator drops into a red band showing the pressure has exceeded the predetermined set point and needs to be inspected.

A unique feature of the over-pressure indicator is that it can be set anywhere on the dial. The overpressure set point will be shown with a bold red marker on the dial face to indicate the desired set pressure.

The overload indicator does not prevent operation of the gauge, even when activated. For safety reasons the overload indicator cannot be reset in the field. When the indicator drops into the red band, it locks in place. The bayonet ring is also spot welded to the case to prevent tampering with the overload indicator. The overload indicator can only be reset after the gauge has been evaluated by the factory or a qualified calibration laboratory.

The overload indicator:

  • Is primarily used in applications where customers are concerned about overpressure conditions that may affect the performance and calibration of the instrument.
  • Is also useful in companies and industries that must adhere to strict quality control standards.
  • Allows inspectors to quickly identify problem instruments and have the installation investigated to determine reasons for the overload indication.
  • Is especially useful in critical applications that must maintain operation of the instrument to exacting specifications.
